The Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare, Inc. (CAQH) recently made an exciting announcement. The highly manual process of sharing data between delegated provider groups and health plans is being replaced with CAQH ProView for Groups. This first-of-its-kind solution is an intuitive, efficient module within CAQH ProView.

CAQH ProView is the industry’s topline resource that allows healthcare professionals and practices to self-report their information to health plans and other healthcare organizations. Its profile-based design is intuitive and allows for easy entry and maintenance of provider data to be submitted to selected organizations. The system saves redundant work by eliminating duplicate process when collecting provider demographic information for many functions including credentialing, directory services and claims administration.

The benefit of the new CAQH ProView for Groups is that delegated groups don’t have to maintain a separate file for each contracted plan. Instead of the former cumbersome process, delegated groups can use a centralized portal to submit one standardized file. The portal automatically checks for errors too. 

The efficient result is that participating plans receive provider data in a format that can be easily uploaded into their online directories and systems.
