National Medical Staff Services Awareness Week was created by President George Bush in 1992. During the first week of every November, we acknowledge and thank all medical services professionals for playing such an important role in our nation’s healthcare system. We would not be the same without all of our Coordinators and Specialists expertise and commitment to our clients everyday. They are what makes 1st Assistant exceptional!

Medical services professionals work tirelessly behind the scenes to make certain that the credentials of all health care providers who are caring for patients are correct and have been verified. These professionals are experts in provider credentialing and privileging, medical staff organization, accreditation and regulatory compliance, and provider relations in the diverse healthcare industry.
